Chirpy

From the developers of  Twitbit, in which we reviewed a few weeks ago, comes Chirpy, a “Messages.app” for your Twitter DMs… And that’s all. All you need to do is login with your Twitter account and all your DMs will show up in a “Messages.app”-ish interface and you will get insanely fast push notifications for every DM received.

Pros-

• Insanely fast push notifications
• 3 second app start-up time on my iPod Touch 2G
• Ability to add the Twitter account of the person who sent you the message to you contacts
• Polished and clean interface, similar to that of the iPhone’s default Messages.app

Cons-

• $1.99 is a little too expensive for an app that simply sends and receives DMs +  push notifications (This would been easily accomplished using a free twitter client + Boxcar)
