Simplicity is one of the most essential features of an app that is used every day, especially with an app like Get Reminded, which enables the user to quickly set reminders for anything they desire. It is a shining example of the native To Do app that Apple should have included with iOS. Beautifully designed and simple to use, there will no longer be a good excuse for forgetting what needed to be done.
Get Reminded is not supposed to be a complex To Do app designed for project management or complicated items with attached sub-tasks. Apps that are too complicated generally become used less and less until they are forgotten about. This is why I still use regularly use Apple’s Notes app even though I have both Documents to Go and QuickOffice Mobile Suite.
My only complaint with Get Reminded is that there isn’t a way to keep uncompleted items in the upcoming section until they are marked competed. (I hope that this is a planned addition to make this the Five-Star app it deserves to be.) This is partially an issue created by the iOS notification system, as once a new notification pops up over an old one, they all become stacked. It is very easy to just cancel through all of pop ups to get back to using the iPhone and forgetting that there was an outstanding reminder.
