MobileDock Dash Mount by Bracketron is a great solution to mount your iPhone to a dash without involving tools or permanent changes. It sets up in less than 5 minutes and seems to hold the iPhone quite securely.
The only drawback is the regular maintenance required to keep dust and debris from collecting on the “Stick Dot” which could cause your iPhone to fall off the cradle. This maintenance is quite simple and cleaning the sticky grip pad just requires wiping with water and letting it dry.
I am very impressed with the MobileDock Dash Mount as it is a great alternative to a permanently affixing a cradle, especially since it mounted very securely to my GTI’s dash which is a soft to touch, porous material.
